How many politicians have had their professional careers stained/ruined/ended because of their sexual exploits?

Oh crap! I just saw a News report on this very topic right after Sanford got caught. I think they had gone back to JFK’s term and counted all the affairs by US Representatives, Senators and Presidents. Democrats had 35 and Republicans had 34.
Pretty even split!
Sorry, I can’t remember who did the research but those are the ones who got caught. Makes me wonder what the actual number is.
Too many. It’s a shame when people cannot think and act on their basic impulses. But it’s a character flaw in our society and I don’t think that should change.
I saw an ad for an upcoming tv series called, “The Good Wife,” but I won’t watch it. The Good Wife hires a divorce attorney and cleans house. jmo
